Product Overview

The BWT R1 Backwash Filter 1-1/4" RSF LF is a high-flow, lead-free whole house water filter designed to protect residential plumbing systems and water-using appliances from sediment such as rust, sand, and debris. Installed at the main water inlet after the water meter, it helps prevent dripping faucets, clogged valves, and premature appliance wear caused by foreign particles.

This RSF (backwash filter) model uses BWT’s proven 2-phase backwash technology for particularly intensive cleaning. Instead of frequent cartridge replacements, the filter is maintained through manual backwashing, recommended every 6 months. This version is supplied without a pressure reducer for systems where pressure regulation is handled elsewhere.
